Rental Spaces:

 

The Confederate Home Court Rooms, Drawing Rooms, Antechamber, and Courtyard are available for events, private parties and receptions.   The Confederate Home is a non-smoking facility and in consideration of our residents amplified music is not permitted.

 

The Court Room and Ante Chamber

These two beautiful rooms were occupied by the Federal Court before the Civil War. It was here that Judge Magrath renounced his allegiance to the United States government upon the secession of the state of South Carolina. They are perfect for receptions, meetings, luncheons, or dinners.

 

Capacity is limited to 100 seated, 200 standing for Court Room and Ante Chamber Capacity for Court Room only is limited to 85 seated, 150 standing.


The capacity for Ante Chamber only is limited to 32 seated, 50 standing.

The Drawing Rooms

One can imagine President Monroe acknowledging the crowd below from the balcony or a bride throwing her bouquet. These rooms were also used as classrooms for the Confederate Home and College. These rooms contain antique furniture and paintings and are perfect for receptions, meetings, luncheons, or dinners. Your guests may also enjoy the porch outside the rooms.

 

Capacity is limited to 90 seated, 150 standing for East and West Drawing Rooms Capacity is limited to 45 seated, 75 standing for East or West Drawing Rooms.

The Courtyard

The garden is a hidden oasis in the heart of Charleston and is lovingly maintained by the Garden Club of Charleston. With a lovely fountain and patio, it is perfect for a wedding, reception, or dining al fresco. The courtyard may be added to your room rental if desired.

 

Capacity is limited to 100 guests.

 

Smoking and amplified music

are prohibited at the venue.
